This release also moves the v1 tag, which had been left on v1.0.3 when
v1.1.0 shipped. Until now @v1 did not have the require-signed input: a
workflow setting require-signed: true on @v1 got an "unexpected input"
warning and unsigned pins still passed.

Security

  • A scanned manifest can no longer forge the report output. The report was
written to $GITHUB_OUTPUT between fixed TRUECOPY_REPORT_EOF markers, and
truecopy prints manifest names verbatim, newlines included. A manifest whose
name contained that marker on its own line closed the block early, and every
line after it set a step output of the manifest's choosing (for example a
replacement report). The delimiter is now random per run and regenerated if
the report contains it. A CI job scans such a manifest and asserts the report
    survives intact.

Changed

  • Default truecopy-ref moved v0.10.3 to v0.10.4. 0.10.4 fixes
concurrent pins failing with EPERM on Windows (askalf/truecopy#197).
CI's own pinned installs move with it.

Fixed

  • ShellCheck SC2155 in CI: the signing key is assigned, then exported, so a
failed read is not masked by export's exit status.
