Askr context

This is an Askr organization-maintainer policy change covering every non-fork repository owned by askrjs.

Problem

The organization had no shared contribution requirements or pull request template. Repository-local guidance did not distinguish interested Askr users from indiscriminate automated contribution campaigns.

Change

  • require a genuine Askr use, integration, community-resource, or concrete evaluation context
  • welcome AI and automation with tool disclosure, personal review, explainability, maintenance ownership, and follow-through
  • limit new contributors to one active pull request unless a maintainer agrees otherwise
  • state that contribution volume does not establish repository or release trust
  • add an organization-wide pull request template enforcing the required context and disclosure

Verification

  • inventoried all 22 non-fork askrjs repositories
  • confirmed only askr and askr-cli have local CONTRIBUTING.md overrides
  • confirmed no repository has a local pull request template
  • git diff --check
  • reviewed the rendered Markdown structure and default community-health file locations against GitHub documentation

Automation disclosure

Codex assisted with repository inventory, policy drafting, editing, validation, and pull request creation. The maintainer directed the policy and reviewed its intended requirements.
