Release Notes: idb-mcp 0.1.0

🗑️ Removed

  • AskUI Chat integration: Removed the experimental AskUI Chat integration module (askui_chat), including:
    • add_to_caesr.py
    • asst_avatar.py
    • prompt.py
  • bson dependency: Removed bson==0.5.10 dependency (no longer needed after removing Chat integration)

✨ Added

  • SBOM generation and release: Added automated Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) generation and release to Dependency Track
    • New GitHub workflow (.github/workflows/generate_and_release_sbom.yaml)
    • SBOM is automatically generated and uploaded to Dependency Track on each release
    • Uses CycloneDX format (JSON) for SBOM generation

📝 Documentation

  • Updated README with improved documentation and usage examples

🔧 Technical

  • Updated dependency lock file (pdm.lock) with latest dependency resolutions
  • Cleaned up codebase by removing unused Chat integration code

Migration Notes

If you were using the AskUI Chat integration features, they have been removed in this release. The core MCP server functionality and iOS device automation capabilities remain unchanged.
