Unofficial CloudStream APK with the Chromecast season-index fix, based on upstream ad44a64f0cd660433ffc84994369c13336ae4015.

Install and test

  1. Install CloudStream-CastFix-4.8.0.apk (Android 6 or newer).
  2. Open CloudStream Cast Fix and configure your plugins. It installs alongside official CloudStream, with separate settings and a separate signing certificate.
  3. Connect using the normal Chromecast button and test Cast episode and Cast mirror on a show with multiple seasons, including a season after the first available one.

The fix resolves the selected episode's position in the season list sent to Cast instead of using its global index across all seasons. The reporter confirmed that the patched APK resolves the problem on their device.

Verification

  • Release APK built successfully with JDK 17 and Gradle 9.4.1.
  • All 8 existing app unit tests passed (subtitle tests, not automated Cast coverage).
  • APK signature and 16 KB ZIP alignment verified.
  • Package: com.lagradost.cloudstream3.prerelease.castfix.
  • Version: 4.8.0-PRE-castfix.1.
  • Universal APK: ARMv7, ARM64, x86 and x86_64.

The full corresponding GPL-3.0 source, build instructions, patch, signature details and SHA-256 checksums are attached. The test build also changes the application ID, label and version suffix for side-by-side installation; those packaging changes are not part of the upstream fix. Signing keys and account credentials are not included. Private upstream tracking-service API credentials are not configured.
