英文名正式改为 OfflineFind：Offline + Find，突出“离线查找”。功能说明为 Offline file & full-text search。中文名继续使用“拾文”，公开仓库改为 asoming/offlinefind。

• 英文界面、窗口、菜单、Windows / macOS 应用名及安装包采用新名；中文界面保留“拾文”。
• 无需选文件夹，自动收录本机文件名；PDF、Markdown、DOCX 正文离线搜索功能保持不变。

Packages cover Windows x64, macOS Apple Silicon and Linux x64 DEB / tar.gz, plus Python wheel/source. Quit the old window before upgrading. On Linux, extract and run OfflineFind/install-user, then reopen from the application menu. The primary command is offlinefind; the Debian ID shiwen and existing data directories containing Shiwen remain for upgrade compatibility.

This is a naming and migration release, not a performance rewrite. The 0.1.0 measurements and limits still apply: local full-desktop idle RSS around 574 MiB, some queries exceeding 300 ms, no OCR or NTFS MFT acceleration, and no trusted publisher signing/macOS notarization. The original low-memory target is not claimed.

性能与明确限制

保留当前界面并公开实测后发布，未达到原始完整桌面低于 100 MiB、所有查询低于 300 ms 的目标。本机万份合成文档索引约 16 分 20 秒；完整桌面空闲 RSS 约 574 MiB，十秒空闲样本约单核 25.2% CPU。100 条查询中，主题词中位数 265 ms，唯一记录 747 ms，短语 / AND 423 ms；百万合成名称的大量匹配约 2.7 秒。真实本机名称发现约 73.9 万项 / 305 秒。它们来自不同测试，不能合并成“百万文件瞬搜”承诺。

测量环境、三平台结果、原始汇总及复现方法见性能报告。严格冷缓存、4 核 / 8 GB 参考机、复杂真实语料、长期功耗与实体机全面系统对话框人工验收仍待补充。未实现 OCR、NTFS MFT / USN、自动损坏修复或跨路径重命名收藏迁移。索引未单独加密。

下载与升级

• Windows 11 x64：ZIP，完整解压，需要已安装 Edge WebView2。
• macOS 14+ Apple Silicon：ZIP，完整解压；尚无可信开发者签名 / 公证。
• Ubuntu 22.04 / 24.04 x64：DEB 或 tar.gz，使用系统 Python 3.10+、GTK 3、WebKit；应用依赖已随包提供。

First stable release: automatic local discovery without folder selection; file/folder name search plus offline PDF, Markdown and DOCX contents, highlights and bookmarks. Files and indexes stay local, without accounts, telemetry or document uploads.

• Frameless glass desktop with integrated minimize, maximize/restore and close, draggable/double-clickable headings and edge resizing.
• Linux shutdown-race fix, one instance per index and compatible older launcher paths. Closing cancels background work; unfinished parsing resumes on restart.
• Faster recent-file queries and candidate verification for large inventories, preserving per-result permission checks. Linux software-rendering fallback when no accessible GPU is present.
• Manual update checks, package downloads, progress, cancellation and SHA-256 validation. Stable installations ignore prereleases. No automatic installation or background online checks.
• 60 automated tests; native desktop acceptance on three platforms covers search, previews, bookmarks, filters, languages, themes and window operations. Release packaging adds native bridge, installation and shutdown smoke checks.

Performance and limits

The current interface is retained with published measurements. The original full-desktop sub-100 MiB and universal sub-300 ms targets are not met. The local synthetic 10,000-document index took about 16m 20s; full desktop idle RSS was 574 MiB, with 25.2% of one CPU core in a ten-second idle sample. Across 100 queries, median topic search was 265 ms, unique-record search 747 ms and phrase/AND search 423 ms. A broad match on one million synthetic names took 2.7s. Real local name discovery found approximately 739,000 entries in 305s. These are separate workloads, not a promise of instant million-file searches.

See the methodology, platform results, raw aggregates and reproduction commands. Strict cold caches, the 4-core / 8 GB reference machine, complex representative documents, long-term power use and comprehensive physical-machine native-dialog acceptance remain unverified. OCR, NTFS MFT/USN, automatic corruption repair and bookmarks surviving cross-path renames are not implemented. Indexes are not separately encrypted.

Downloads and upgrade

Windows 11 x64 ZIP requires an installed Edge WebView2 runtime. macOS 14+ Apple Silicon ZIP is not developer-signed/notarized. Ubuntu 22.04 / 24.04 x64 DEB and tar.gz use system Python 3.10+, GTK 3 and WebKit, with application dependencies included. Python wheel and source distributions are also provided.

Binaries lack a trusted publisher signature (macOS may use an ad-hoc signature); verify SHA-256. Extract archives completely. On Linux, run Shiwen/install-user from the tar.gz, or upgrade the DEB through the package manager. Quit the old window before upgrading, then reopen from the application menu. Existing indexes/documents are preserved; the installer does not terminate running processes. See the user guide.

Linux tar.gz 解压后，在 Shiwen 目录运行 ./install-user，无需管理员权限即可安装到 ~/.local 并创建应用菜单入口。以后安装新版时，同一个入口指向新版；旧版本的绝对启动路径也会转到新版。安装器保留旧版本备份、索引、收藏和原文档，并阻止降级覆盖。系统 Python / GTK / WebKit 依赖仍需预先安装。DEB 用户继续使用系统软件安装器升级。

从 beta.8 或更早版本升级，请先退出旧窗口。 旧版本尚无实例锁，安装不会强制结束正在运行的旧进程。设置中的下载仍需完成后手动安装；不是静默自动更新。

保留 beta.8 的 Linux 标题栏关闭修复。新增跨进程锁与崩溃恢复、安装升级与旧入口、原生窗口唤起验证。提供 Windows x64、macOS Apple Silicon、Linux x64 DEB / tar.gz。

One Shiwen process owns each index. Reopening requests activation of the existing window instead of starting another indexer. OS locks release after a crash without deleting lock files. Activation uses authenticated loopback communication only; no documents are uploaded. If loopback is disabled, duplicate launches remain blocked but activation is unavailable.

Extract the Linux tar.gz and run ./install-user inside Shiwen to install under ~/.local and create a menu entry without administrator privileges. Subsequent upgrades update the same entry and redirect older absolute portable launch paths. Installation preserves old launcher backups, indexes, bookmarks and originals, and rejects downgrades. System Python / GTK / WebKit dependencies must already be installed. DEB users should continue upgrading through the OS package installer.

Quit beta.8 or older before upgrading. Those versions do not implement the instance lock; installation does not forcibly terminate running processes. Downloads in Settings still require manual installation, not silent automatic updates.

Retains beta.8's Linux title-bar close fix. Adds checks for cross-process locking, crash recovery, installer upgrades, legacy entry points and native window activation. Includes Windows x64, macOS Apple Silicon and Linux x64 DEB / tar.gz packages.

This remains a public preview: complete desktop memory, representative whole-disk performance and cross-platform manual acceptance are unfinished. Trusted publisher signing and macOS notarization are also unavailable. See the roadmap.

Fixes a Linux exit hang after clicking the title-bar ×. Destroying the WebView with an outstanding JavaScript callback could leave a non-daemon request thread waiting forever. Closing now releases these waits and rejects new requests.

In-flight document parser processes are cancelled instead of waiting for the full document timeout. Unfinished documents remain pending for the next launch; completed indexes and bookmarks are preserved. The database stays open until existing bridge requests and indexing tasks finish.

Adds shutdown regression tests and a packaged GTK close-race smoke test. Retains beta.5 manual update checks, download progress/cancellation, SHA-256 verification and automatic local-file discovery.

Includes Linux x64 DEB / tar.gz, Windows x64 ZIP and macOS Apple Silicon ZIP. Beta packages still lack trusted publisher signing and macOS notarization. An in-flight network operation remains subject to its network timeout during cleanup; closing the window no longer waits for UI callbacks. Originals are neither modified nor uploaded.

Settings now includes Software updates: manually check releases, read release notes and download a package for this system. Linux offers DEB and portable tar.gz; Windows x64 and macOS Apple Silicon receive the matching ZIP.

Downloads provide progress, cancellation, size/SHA-256 verification and a button to reveal the completed package. Failed or cancelled downloads remove partial packages; previous downloads are preserved. Packages are saved in unique subfolders of Downloads. Quit the app and install or extract the package yourself, preserving the existing data directory for your index and settings.

Only manual update actions contact GitHub; documents, paths and indexes are never uploaded. Startup, indexing and searching do not check online. A lightweight feed published with each Release avoids reliance on anonymous API quotas, and packaged apps include HTTPS trust roots. There is no automatic installation, restart or silent upgrade.

Retains beta.4 automatic local-disk discovery, all-format filename search and PDF / Markdown / DOCX content search, without folder selection. Filesystem changes still use periodic traversal; MFT / USN acceleration and OCR are not implemented.

Windows 发现带盘符的固定磁盘，Linux / macOS 遍历本地目录树。跳过虚拟系统目录、网络挂载、缓存 / 依赖目录、符号链接和自己的索引；权限不足时跳过，不提权。文件不会上传或修改。

Normal startup discovers local files automatically, with no folder picker or document-only folder requirement. Find images, videos, archives, code and folders by name; retain offline PDF, Markdown and DOCX content search. Independent discovery and parsing workers keep slow documents from blocking name indexing.

Adds Names + contents, File names only, Document contents only and a Folders filter. Names accept single-character terms; content terms require two characters. Existing exclusions and bookmarks survive upgrades. Clearing data pauses indexing until resumed.

Windows discovers fixed disks with drive letters; Linux/macOS traverse local directory trees. Virtual filesystems, network mounts, caches/dependencies, symlinks and the index itself are skipped. Respect account permissions without elevation. Originals are neither uploaded nor modified.

This uses ordinary traversal and approximately 30-second reconciliation intervals plus scan time, without Everything's MFT / USN acceleration or equivalent first-index speed claims. The earlier beta.3 document baseline does not establish full-disk performance. OCR, original-layout rendering, hard memory caps, automatic database repair and bookmark migration on rename remain unimplemented.

Adds a paginated problem-file list, individual retries, and removal of individual exclusion rules. Fixes lost full-library retry requests while paused or during a scan. Includes a reproducible synthetic 10,000-document benchmark using production isolated parsers and a measurement report. Linux x64 DEB / tar.gz, Windows x64 and macOS arm64 packages remain available.

Reduces document-body copying during query sorting. On this machine's synthetic 10,000-document corpus, P95 for three common queries decreased from 418–509 ms to 169–281 ms. See the methodology, raw data and limitations.

Known limits: no OCR/AI; extracted-text previews instead of original PDF/Word layout; no guaranteed external page navigation; no bookmark migration on rename; automatic database repair, a global shortcut, hard memory limits, battery-aware pausing and application-level index encryption remain future work. Network shares, removable drives and Intel Macs have no formal support guarantee yet.

Document contents are not uploaded, and originals are never moved, modified or deleted by the app. The index contains original text; protect it accordingly.

下载对应系统的 ZIP，完整解压后运行 Shiwen。Windows x64 需要预装 WebView2；macOS arm64 使用系统 WebKit。包内包含 Python。SHA-256 文件用于核对下载完整性。此版本没有可信发布者签名或 macOS 公证。

已提供自动化核心测试、跨平台 CI、打包后自检。不代表已通过所有真实桌面人工验收或 PRD 的万文档性能目标。

First runnable offline full-text search preview: PDF / Markdown / DOCX extraction, Chinese two-character and English queries, highlighted original excerpts, folder scopes and exclusions, bookmarks, background updates, pause/resume, and a bilingual frosted-glass interface.

Download and fully extract the ZIP for your platform. Windows x64 needs WebView2 already installed; macOS arm64 uses system WebKit. Python is included. Verify downloads with the accompanying SHA-256 files. This beta has no trusted publisher signature or macOS notarization.

Automated core tests, cross-platform CI and packaged self-tests are included. These do not establish complete manual desktop acceptance or the PRD's 10,000-document performance targets.
