v2.0.1
v2.0.0
What's new in v2.0.0
Added
- One-click app update (#41, #54) — Check for Updates… can now download, verify, replace the installed app, and relaunch in a single click on macOS. The downloaded build is verified as Yon's notarized, Developer ID–signed release (pinned Team ID) before the installed
/Applications/Yon.appis replaced by an atomic swap (renamex_np(RENAME_SWAP)) and the new version relaunches. Any failure, or an app that is not eligible (unsigned, or not in a writable install location), falls back to the previous download-and-open flow. - More bundled test-server endpoints (#51) —
testserver/gains an in-memory/usersCRUD resource,/cookies(set + echo), a gzip-encoded/gzip, and a request-echo/debug, with matching requests intestserver.yon.
macOS builds are Developer ID–signed and notarized.
v1.5.0
What's new in v1.5.0
Added
- OAuth 2.0 authentication (#30) — a new OAuth 2.0 auth type supporting the client credentials and authorization code (with PKCE) grants. Configure the token/authorization URLs, client id/secret, scopes, audience, redirect URI and client-auth style; a Get Token button fetches and caches an access token (refreshing when possible) and requests send it as a
Bearer. The authorization-code flow opens the browser and catches the redirect on a loopback listener with state/CSRF validation.{{variables}}are resolved before each grant/send. - Form request bodies (#48) — new Form (
application/x-www-form-urlencoded) and Multipart (multipart/form-data) body types, edited as a key/value field table. Multipart supports file-part uploads (mark a row as a file and pick a path; it's read and sent at request time). The cURL view and cURL import understand--data-urlencodeand-F(including-F field=@file).
macOS builds are Developer ID–signed and notarized.
v1.4.3
Yon v1.4.3
Added
- Store an environment inside the
.yon(#35) — the environment manager has a "Store inside .yon" checkbox so an environment can travel inside the committable collection file instead of a sibling file (a warning notes that inline values, including secrets, are committed; new environments default to sibling storage). Toggling the checkbox migrates the environment between the two.
Changed
- Saving warns before overwriting external edits (#40) — if the open
.yonchanged on disk since Yon read it, Save now prompts Overwrite / Reload / Cancel instead of silently clobbering it.
macOS build is signed with a Developer ID and notarized. The app menu reads Yon.
v1.4.2
Yon v1.4.2
Fixed
- The Variables panel no longer stretches wide and gets stuck when a value is long (e.g. a captured JWT token) (#36) — it now scrolls horizontally, so a long value scrolls inside the panel and the window can be resized down freely. (Same fix as #32 for the response pane.)
macOS build is signed with a Developer ID and notarized. The app menu reads Yon.
v1.4.1
Yon v1.4.1
Fixed
- A response with a very long line (e.g. a JWT token) no longer forces the window wider with no way to shrink it back (#32). The response Body, Headers and Tests panes (and the pop-out window) now scroll horizontally — a long line scrolls inside the pane and the window's minimum size stays bounded.
macOS build is signed with a Developer ID and notarized — opens without Gatekeeper warnings. The app menu reads Yon.
v1.4.0
Yon v1.4.0
Added
- Import OpenAPI / Swagger (#27) — File ▸ Import OpenAPI / Swagger… reads an OpenAPI 3.x or Swagger 2.0 document (YAML or JSON) and builds a collection: operations → requests grouped by tag into folders, the server URL → a
{{baseUrl}}variable, parameters + an example JSON body, and security → auth (Bearer/Basic; API key → header/query param). Unsupported bits are listed in an import report.
macOS build is signed with a Developer ID and notarized — opens without Gatekeeper warnings. The app menu reads Yon.
v1.3.0
Yon v1.3.0
Added
- Right-click an image response → Save image… (#24) — save the inline image preview straight to a file.
- Correct default filenames — Save Output As…, the PDF panel's Save…, and the new image save now suggest a name with the right extension for the response (
response.png/.jpg/.gif/.webp/.bmp/.pdf, else.txt).
macOS build is signed with a Developer ID and notarized — opens without Gatekeeper warnings. The app menu reads Yon.
v1.2.0
Yon v1.2.0
Added
- Image & PDF response previews (#16) — image responses render inline (scaled, with pixel dimensions; Raw shows the exact bytes); PDF responses get a Save… / Open panel that hands the file to your OS viewer. Detection trusts an explicit textual
Content-Type, with magic-byte sniffing as a fallback for generic/unknown types. No new dependency.
Changed
- Tunnels… moved from the Collection menu to the View menu (#15).
macOS build is signed with a Developer ID and notarized — open without Gatekeeper warnings. The app menu reads Yon.
