shrink 0.3.0
shrink 0.3.0: Tab got its old job back
Tab used to jump between highlights, which was rude, because Tab already had a job: moving between buttons. Highlights have their own keys now and Tab is back at work. Character development.
- Q/E jump between highlights (Q back, E forward), so your left hand never has to leave the keyboard.
- Clicking a highlight puts the playhead exactly where you clicked — originally a bug, now a feature with paperwork.
- Tab moves between buttons again and shows you where you are (sorry, keyboard people).
- ⚙ Settings exist now: where clips get saved (ask / next to the recording / one folder forever), clipboard on or off, and what every clip starts with. No more picking the same folder 40 times a day.
- Clips open faster: the video shows up right away, thumbnails catch up a moment later.
- Buttons got dark text, because white on orange looked cool and read terribly.
- Labels say what they do ("Original quality", "Shrink to size", "Audio 1"), and "Track1" has been retired with honors.
- Errors come as one plain sentence, with the scary part tucked behind a Details button.

shrink 0.2.1
shrink 0.2.1: it has a face now
shrink shipped with a placeholder logo, like showing up to school in pajamas. Now it has main character energy: a chunky s. with an orange dot.
- New logo in your taskbar, Start menu and installer.
- The name inside the app uses the same font now, so everything matches.
That's it. That's the update.
shrink 0.2.0
shrink 0.2.0: you can grab the playhead now
In 0.1.0 the playhead was a 2-pixel line and grabbing it was a skill check. Most people failed. I failed. Skill issue (mine). Fixed.
- The playhead has a big knob now, and you can grab it from a bit to the side too.
- Drag along the time bar to scrub.
- Hover over the timeline to see the exact time before you click.
- Mouse wheel skips 1 second (Shift: 5).
- Click a highlight or press Tab to jump to its start. Space plays it and keeps going after the end.
- Every clip opens in Original mode now. Shrink mode stopped showing up uninvited.
- Size fixes keep your frame rate: resolution drops first (down to 720p), frame rate only after that. Frames are sacred.
- Space and the arrow keys work while exporting.

shrink 0.1.0
shrink 0.1.0: it exists now
Getting one clip ready used to take two apps: one to cut it, one to make it small enough to send. Sometimes a third, because the second one was being weird. That's a lot of apps for 20 seconds of gameplay, fr. So I made one app that does both. It's called shrink. It shrinks. Naming is hard.
- Mark highlights on the timeline (drag, or press I and O). Each one becomes its own file.
- Original: cuts without re-encoding. Instant, no quality lost.
- Shrink: pick a size, get the best quality that fits. Never goes over. I tested this more than I'd like to admit.
- Size too small to look good? It warns you and offers a fix. It won't judge you. Much.
- Uses your graphics card if it can, your CPU if it has to.
- Finished files land in your clipboard. Paste them straight into your group chat.
- Right-click a video → Show more options → Open in shrink.
- Updates itself, so you only download it once.
Installing: download shrink_0.1.0_x64-setup.exe below. Windows will say "Windows protected your PC" because I can't afford a code-signing certificate yet. Click More info → Run anyway. The code is all here if you want to check.
Bugs or ideas → open an issue. Response time: eventually™.
