What's changed

  • GA4 snippet — output now uses the official Google tag format, including the <!-- Google tag (gtag.js) --> comment and multi-line script block that Google expects
  • Sitemap canonical redirect fix — WordPress was occasionally 301-redirecting sitemap URLs before they could be served; added a redirect_canonical filter to prevent this
  • Trailing slash support — all sitemap URLs now work with or without a trailing slash (/sitemap.xml and /sitemap.xml/ both resolve correctly)

Installation

Download ateculus-seo.1.2.5.zip, upload via Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, and activate.

After upgrading go to Settings → Permalinks and click Save Changes to flush rewrite rules.
