dot. v0.4.0

Hysteria2 compatibility hotfix (18 October 2026): Android and Windows download assets have been replaced with successful builds from Actions #39111580483. Fixes invalid Hysteria2 Xray routing and Salamander packet-size output; Android uses versionCode 401 for updating existing installations. Development APK signature and package ID are unchanged. The original v0.4.0 Git tag still points to the earlier source commit.

A cross-platform VPN client for Android and Windows. Version 0.4.0 adds Hysteria 2 support and per-subscription device identity while retaining VLESS.

What's new

  • Import and use hy2:// and hysteria2:// links, including mixed VLESS and Hysteria 2 subscriptions.
  • Configure Hysteria 2 TLS, SNI, ALPN, congestion control and Salamander obfuscation.
  • Keep a separate X-HWID for each subscription. Copy, edit or manually regenerate an identity.
  • Preserve subscriptions, credentials, selection and settings when migrating from 0.3.0.
  • Send subscription identity headers with refresh requests and strip them when redirects cross origins.
  • Xray/libXray v26.7.28. Hysteria 1 and other Salamander finalmask types are not supported.

Platforms and build notes

  • Android: Android 8.0+ (API 26). The included APK is a debuggable development build, package dev.dotclient.android.debug, version 0.4.0-debug, versionCode 401. It uses the project's development signing key (SHA-256: 257a9fb722fb119972d7ec5acc769f6557f5d66788d0b7903da2b2f73d058235). Installing over another build requires a matching package ID and signing key.
  • Windows: Portable x64 ZIP. The executable is unsigned. Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime and administrator privileges for VPN routing are required.

Android build and unit tests passed. Windows CI passed Rust and Xray config compatibility tests, frontend tests, and portable package verification. Real Android VPN/QUIC operation and provider-specific compatibility require device testing.
