Feature request: Add tool for attaching files to Jira issues

Currently there's no way to attach files (screenshots, videos, documents) to Jira issues via the MCP server. When creating bug reports programmatically, attachments are a critical part of the workflow.

Requested tool: A new tool (e.g., addAttachmentToJiraIssue) that accepts an issue key and a file path/URL to attach.

Use case: When an AI agent creates a bug ticket via createJiraIssue, it often has a screenshot or screen recording to attach. Today this requires manual follow-up in the Jira UI.

👍 this would be very useful. There is already a skill/workaround for attaching files to Jira/Confluence via the REST API, but it is not really production-ready yet because it still needs stronger safeguards around credential handling, strict host validation to avoid mistyped or unintended Atlassian URLs, and safer upload/update flows. Having this supported natively in the Atlassian MCP server would make bug-report and evidence-upload workflows much safer and smoother.

This would be extremely helpful. I'm building agents in GCP. Our web app developers and product owners are requesting we provide prototypes (screenshots or working html files) when they work on their tickets. It would be nice if the agent can leverage the mcp to perform a post to the endpoint and upload the file to the issue ticket
