Keyboard Shortcuts
FWG keeps transport/navigation shortcuts out of the way of ordinary text entry and browser-tab shortcuts. The only complicated key is ESC, because it must decide what currently owns the stop/cancel action.
🔧 ESC is one user-facing stop/cancel key with context ownership:
- topmost modal/import overlay: close/cancel that overlay;
- an explicitly marked local editor with Escape-to-cancel semantics: cancel that edit;
- active Bulk render while Bulk is the active tab: cancel Bulk;
- active Explorer render while Explorer is the active tab: cancel Explorer;
- otherwise: stop audition audio. On Calculators this is harmless because there is normally no audition to stop.
A Bulk/Explorer render running in the background from another tab is not cancelled by ESC from that other tab.
Ordinary focused controls do not own Escape. Any pending ordinary edit is committed/blurred before the terminal audition stop. This ordering prevents blur-triggered auto-audition from restarting sound after ESC.

Leaving a tab mutes current audition audio. Browser-level shortcuts remain browser actions.
