Impact

New features

  • Pause and resume Transact. Atomic.pauseTransact() hides Transact and returns a ref whose resume() brings it back, on both iOS and Android.
  • hideTransact on Android. It previously failed with "Unsupported OS" on Android. It now works the same as on iOS.

Fixes

  • Handoff. handoff is now passed to Transact correctly, as an array.
  • Clearer errors on iOS. If Transact can't be presented, the call now fails with an error you can catch. Before, it did nothing and gave no sign that it hadn't opened.
  • Android Gradle Plugin 9. Android builds no longer fail on AGP 9.

iOS SDK upgrade (3.35.1 → 3.36.0)

  • Crash fix. Fixed a crash when Transact is linked alongside Swift 5 code, plus static framework prelinking to avoid symbol conflicts with other SDKs.
  • iOS 26+ and 27. Login page buttons are no longer hidden below the toolbar, and dynamic type sizes are handled correctly.
  • Stability and security. Embedded web flows are better isolated, and malformed data is handled more gracefully.

Android SDK upgrade (3.24.1 → 3.25.1)

  • Transact now requires a WebView that supports multiple profiles. On devices without it, Transact shows an error instead of starting. Most up-to-date devices are unaffected.
  • Cookie isolation. Transact now uses its own browser profile, separate from the host app's cookies.
  • Password managers. Autofill now works on provider login pages.
  • Reopening Transact. Transact now reopens reliably after the screen that launched it has been closed.
  • onCleanup callback. It is now delivered when you pass a receiver to Transact.present.
  • Minified apps. Release builds that use R8 no longer fail when the app doesn't include Uplink.
