bug fix:

  • fix phantom sessions created during tmux server startup. install-and-init-plugins used a gotmuxcc control-mode connection to query config file paths, but tmux sources config before creating the initial session — the connection raced with session creation, causing tmux -C to fall back to new-session and create unwanted numeric sessions. replaced with a plain CLI call. also upgraded gotmuxcc to v0.1.1 which fixes the underlying library issue (explicit named bootstrap session with cleanup on close).

feature:

  • restore now switches the terminal client to whichever session was active when the save was created, instead of leaving the client on whatever session it happened to be viewing.

minor:

  • normalize trailing newlines in captured pane contents (from v0.0.4).
  • added save/restore round-trip integration tests, including a variant that loads the user's real tmux.conf.
