Every lesson the system learns is now a testable claim with an audit trail.

  • atris lesson add --detector "<cmd>" validates the check at write time: a lesson whose falsifier cannot run (typo, missing binary) is rejected instead of becoming permanent memory. One command writes the prose line, the typed sidecar, and the ledger record together.
  • .atris/state/lesson_ledger.jsonl is an append-only audit trail: every lesson added, retired, or taken back lands with its evidence. atris lesson ledger shows the trail.
  • atris lesson revert <slug> "<reason>" reopens a lesson that was closed for the wrong reason (the check passed because the call site was deleted, not because the bug was fixed). The revert is a new record; history is never rewritten.

Self-improvement you can audit beats self-improvement you have to trust.
