👀 ctkeyes

A lightweight, Python-based implementation of the classic X11 xeyes utility, optimized for Windows. 🚀

Screenshot

This project provides a simple, borderless, and transparent window with eyes that follow your mouse cursor using elliptic constraint logic. It is designed to be a "set and forget" desktop toy. ✨

Features

  • 🎯 Accurate Gaze: Pupils follow the cursor smoothly within the eye boundaries.
  • 💎 Modern Transparency: Integrated with Windows transparent color keys.
  • 📌 Topmost Window: Stays visible above other applications.
  • 💻 Architecture Support: Pre-compiled for both x86_64 and ARM64.

Installation & Download 📥

You do not need to install Python to run this. Simply download the standalone executable for your system:

  1. Go to the Releases page.
  2. Download the appropriate file:
    • ctkeyes-x86-64.exe (For standard Intel/AMD PCs)
    • ctkeyes-arm.exe (For ARM-based devices like Surface Pro)
  3. Double-click the .exe to run.

Usage 🛠️

  • Move: Left-click and drag to reposition the eyes.
  • Exit: Right-click on the eyes or press the Esc key.
