Release v3.0:
BREAKING CHANGES!
This is not just a major version bump, it is a MAJOR version bump. This is a huge release, with a lod of new, improved stuff, maing Lazy Admin a little less obsolate once again. (In fact, it is quite good now).
Almost everythign has been rewritten... This all started from a little refactoringtat had to break some backward compatibility, and if that alreazdy happened, then why not get carried away, so I present you:
TONS of new features
- The old menu formats are no longer supported and have been replaced by a much simpler, single-file solution, where everything is on one line and sub-menus are declared in-place
- The code has been "prettified" and variable names are now formatted as they should be, a ot has been refactored and simplified so that the new features fit on almost asmanu lines the older versions took up.
- Minimum bash requirement has been bumped up to bash 4, but
- All dependencies, including sed have been removed. Some non-essential dependencies might exist, but if they are not present, things will still work around them, making LazyAdmin extremely portable.
- Navigation has been massively improved
- Tabs have now shortkeys
- Tab key can be used to change panels
- Menu capacity is now in the double digits (1-99 items on eac tab and in each submenu)
- Menus and right panel can now have visual divider lines for grouping and sectioning
- Menus can now have labels that are not part of the navigation but are useful to name groups.
- Command builder has been reworked, its capacity increased to max 99, and special items moved to the right menu
- You cannow turn off the footer and the header to have more room
- Everything that can be turned on or off, can also be toggled by shortkeys, temporarily (it does not get saved in configs): Right panel, header, footer display, footer contents, line connectors, and even the use pandoc for help files
- Lazy Admin now automatically resizes itself, if the terminal window changes size (can be turned off from defaults)
- Menus now give height and width warnings if sme items were cut off
- Menus can be either fixed height, or always fill available spece
- And much, much more
The two options
- The portable version is self-contained, and can be run from anywhere, on any system that has bash 4,
- The installable version can be installed for the current user or all users, compatible with most UNIX-like systems that have bash 4
