Immediate unblock (works on 1.25.2 today): the long form already resolves the workspace root, because --workspace-root is a global flag that chdirs to the root before the subcommand runs:

# => /path/to/workspace/node_modules/.bin   (matches `pnpm bin -w`)

Only the -w short was missing. Under the hood -w is registered per-command (install, add, remove, update, outdated); bin just never got one.

Fix: #993 adds -w/--workspace-root (plus a --workspace alias) directly to aube bin, so aube bin -w now works from a sub-package and prints the workspace-root node_modules/.bin. It's a no-op outside a workspace, so it's safe to leave in shell aliases (including through aubeshim). -C <root> stays as the explicit-path escape hatch.
