Out of Scope

One record per concept this suite has decided not to build — not one per request. Each says what the concept is, why it does not belong here, and which requests have asked for it.

Read this directory before triaging anything that sounds familiar. A new request matching a record is not re-litigated from scratch: surface the record, and the maintainer confirms it, reconsiders it, or distinguishes the new request from it.

A reason recorded here has to be durable — the suite's purpose, a technical constraint, a property that cannot be frozen. "Not right now" is a deferral and stays in the tracker as an open issue.

Changing our mind is allowed and cheap: delete or rewrite the record, and the new request goes through normal triage. Issues closed under the old record stay closed; they are the history of what was decided when.
