What's new

  • Check for stable releases and start an update from the Heed menu. Updates show progress, preserve your meetings and settings, and wait while recording or processing is active.
  • Choose SMB/Samba or iCloud Drive in Settings and view one remote storage form at a time. Google Drive and OneDrive are no longer shown.
  • Permission recovery guidance remains available after upgrading, including when macOS reports access granted but capture no longer works.

Install or upgrade

Requires an Apple Silicon Mac with macOS 14 or later and Homebrew. See the installation guide.

Permissions after upgrading

macOS may require Microphone and Screen & System Audio Recording authorization again after the app signature changes. Use Heed's Settings and permissions… and Check permissions again. If capture fails despite an allowed status, turn the affected permission off and on in System Settings → Privacy & Security, then quit and reopen Heed. Renew Slack log or shared-folder access only if it stops working. Existing recordings, transcripts and settings are preserved.
