Leaving Denoise (profile) off until the end of the editing process

Hi,

I'm just looking for a quick point of view as I don't know the match behind it.

Being on a lower laptop I can see which modules are extremely slow to perform their calculation. I was aware of D&S, didn't realized Lens Correction & Denoise (profile) are quite intense.

:- ) I guess I have nicely skip the "Note that this algorithm is quite resource-intensive." in the documentation.

1. Currently I just put D&S on the side and use other modules (ex. haze removal)...until I get a real machine.

2. Lens Correction: I can see the change in the image and I know it impacts the exposure module (vignette correction) but there are probably a couple of other things that could be impacted more seriously. I'm thing of mask in particular.

3. I'm puzzled with the Denoise (Profile) as, on its own, I don't see a difference whether it's on/off for the type of picture I'm taking and I don't tweak my pictures with 'larger than life" format and I shoot at low ISO.

Which module(s) would really be impacted if I were to turn Denoise at the end of my workflow?

I've further googled the subject and found that the module is indeed "touching" so everything that handles colors could suffer visible changes if the module was to be turned on at the end of the workflow.
