That's already possible if you start the software in command line, you can pass it the library and config folder you want. |

This is coming directly from DT and I find it very efficient for the way I manage my photos.
Because I've always found it slow to bring all the images in lighttable I got into the habit of clearing the library and strictly importing the folder where the photos I want to work on are located. For the photos of my last trip to Dublin I even go further by subdividing my photos by day (I'm documenting my day to day walk in the city so I kinda have a lot of photos..:-))
It is very cool to create separate workspaces as it creates dedicated/independent/smaller library files
Note: the use of the label and stars is not the same as it doesn't change the size of the library, which is the key point.
