Please allow to change the control (^) modifier in keyboard shortcuts for the sake of left-handed people

there are some keyboard shortcuts that cannot be changed, for example zoom controls for the image in darkroom:

On Apple keyboards the ctrl key is only at the left side of the keyboard. This is a serious impedement for left handed people because they are forced to leave the trackpad and activate the ctrl modifier with their left hand, effectively rendering impossible to use two hands and being mpore efficient.

It would be useful to allow changing those shortcut using another combination, especially when the ctrl modifier is mandatory.
