Scope

Establishes AP-SPEC-034 as the hard naming gate before remaining AP-SPEC-032 release evidence. Adds the sole machine-readable public naming inventory, inventories all 33 predecessor crates, records registry custody and reverse dependencies, defines the 28-crate publication tiers, and amends the release owner decisions/specifications to use Auths.

Evidence and validation

  • Official crates.io owner, crate, owner, and reverse-dependency APIs queried on 2026-07-31.
  • Official npm registry confirms @auths-dev/sdk 0.1.16 exists and @auths-dev/proof is absent.
  • Official PyPI API confirms auths 0.1.16 exists and auths-proof is absent.
  • Official Cargo publishing policy establishes that published versions cannot be deleted or overwritten; all 33 predecessor crates are therefore deletion-ineligible.
  • Inventory records 4 Continue, 10 Replace, 19 Retire, and 0 Delete/reclaim dispositions.
  • No local checks were run, per repository AGENTS.md policy; this PR changes governing documentation and inventory data only.

Affected claims

  • Public product identity is Auths.
  • First-RC roots become auths and auths-sdk; auths-proof remains the bounded proof component.
  • Language SDKs become @auths-dev/sdk and PyPI/import auths.
  • First-RC tag becomes auths-v1.0.0-rc.1.
  • Expected Rust publication closure becomes 28 packages after the thin auths facade is added.

Exclusions

This PR changes no package manifests, lockfiles, workflow behavior, artifacts, registry state, tag, package owner, repository setting, website deployment, or DNS. It does not delete, yank, publish, rename, archive, deploy, or claim an external gate passed.

Remaining gates

  • AP34-PR2 Rust facade/SDK migration.
  • AP34-PR3 npm, Python, and current-documentation migration.
  • AP34-PR4 release identity, publication-order validation, and adversarial stale-name CI.
  • AP34-PR5 predecessor notice and migration/deferral ledger.
  • AP34-PR6 auths.dev content alignment.
  • Hosted package, examples, docs-link, and release dry-run evidence before AP-SPEC-032 resumes.

Closes no issue yet: issue #54 remains open until every gate above is complete.
