• One toggle per row: unfold and show-more are the same act. Clicking anywhere in a row opens it and its whole message body; clicking again folds and shows less. The Show more / Show less link is gone, and so is the second expandedBodies state that tracked bodies separately — everything lives in expandedSet under bodyKey( entry ), a row's pairId when it has one and n:<n> when it does not. The string prefix cannot collide with a numeric pairId, and the fold computation only ever looks up pairIds, so the extra keys pass it by. An unpaired row therefore opens on a click and on a search match like any other.
• A childless pair now opens when a search lands on it, and closes when you step on. It used to stay merged, which was right until the fold began hiding the body as well — landing on one then hid the very match you navigated to. matchOpenedRef remembers a row opened only for the current match and drops it on the next n, so walking a search leaves no trail; a row already open stays open, because it is only remembered when it was shut.
