  • Stock topologies resolve on a request that wires nothing. The substrate registered its own topologies/ dir inside Bootstrap::ensure_runtime_wired() — a lazy tier a frontend page view reaches by design ("A plain frontend page view touches neither tier") — while consumers register theirs at plugin LOAD. A partition write arms Partition_Node::flush_pending_wakes() as a shutdown function; that walks every active topology through Bootstrap::on_demand_wake_map(), so a consumer topology resolved and its include topic-probe did not, and the wake was lost with pending wake failed: unknown topology in include: topic-probe. On a host running newspack-intelligence (all five of its topologies include it) that fired on every such request, because Core::$memd is unset on the same unwired path and the wake map has no cache to hit. Topology_Registry::register_builtin() now owns the path — the registry ships beside those files — and the plugin file calls it at load, beside the autoloader. Priority is unchanged: register_builtin_dir() still appends last, so a consumer override wins regardless of order.
