Release list
Mellow 1.0.3-beta.2
Mellow 1.0.3 Preview 2
A preview for Apple silicon Macs, with refreshed chat and model selection, quick and companion panels, clearer local-server recovery, and voice and pairing lifecycle improvements.
This update adds an original family of 37 Mellow vector icons across navigation and product actions. Routes and settings are unchanged; official provider logos and operating-system status symbols are preserved. Model cards use cleaner descriptions while source details remain available.
Install or update
Download Mellow-1.0.3-beta.2.dmg from this release and move Mellow to Applications. Existing users can also enable Beta Updates in Mellow to receive this preview through the signed update feed. The default stable channel does not automatically offer this beta.
What to expect
- Local models and configured providers remain separate from Cloud workspace access. Download a local model or connect a provider before chatting.
- Cloud features require a configured, authenticated workspace and the appropriate permissions. Delegated agent work also requires published, eligible agents. Workspace sign-in does not supply independent cloud-model service credits.
- The iPhone companion is still in user testing. Pairing, relay availability and model access depend on the host Mac; this release does not establish every phone/network combination as qualified.
- Voice input requires microphone permission and a transcription model. Global insertion can additionally require Accessibility permission. Recognition quality depends on the microphone and environment.
- This is a preview: final visual checks for every layout and end-to-end checks for every account/device flow are not complete. There are no Windows, Linux desktop or Android app downloads in this release.
The macOS package is Developer ID signed and notarized. Signing and notarization verify distribution integrity; they do not imply all external services or account flows are configured.

- Redesigned settings and quick panel.
- Signed automatic update support with a visible update-available prompt.

The app and disk image passed Apple notarization. A live upgrade from 1.0.1 to 1.0.2 passed automatic discovery, download, installation, relaunch and saved-profile checks. This remains a prerelease while broader feature acceptance continues.
Earlier builds with updates disabled require one manual installation of an update-enabled release.
The sandbox content archive and notices ZIP are build-support assets containing the same offline image blobs already included in the app; normal users should download the DMG.
