System Requirements

ANE is a Windows application designed to be light and self-contained.

Requirement	Details
Operating system	Windows 10 (64-bit) or Windows 11 (64-bit).
Prerequisites	None. ANE runs as a self-contained application, nothing extra needs to be installed.
RAM	512 MB free minimum; 1 GB or more recommended for very large directories.
Disk space	A few megabytes for the application itself.
Screen resolution	1024 × 768 minimum; 1280 × 720 or higher recommended.
Permissions	A standard user account is enough for most tasks. Administrator rights are only requested to rename or delete system-protected files.
Extraction tool	Some releases are compressed; a tool such as 7-Zip or WinRAR may be needed to extract the download.

ANE is designed and tested for Windows 10 and Windows 11. It may run on older versions, but they are not officially supported.

A note on disk space when generating files

The Batch Data Generator can create files that really occupy space (Fully Allocated) or that only report a size while using almost none (Sparse). ANE checks free space before a fully-allocated run and warns you if it would not fit. See Warnings and Safety for details.
