This release brings bbGuild core 2.1.0’s redesigned guild pages to the WoW plugin, with richer character profiles, detailed gear tooltips, character-based forum avatars, and automatic guild updates.
For WoW guilds, this makes your website a more useful companion to Discord: a place where members can browse each other’s characters, gear, talents, and raid progression. Automatic roster and activity updates reduce manual upkeep for guild leaders, while character portraits help members recognise each other on the forums.
It also includes the 2.1.1 fixes listed below.
What’s new
- [NEW] Character profile tabs for Talents, Raid Progression, and PvP. PvP currently shows honor level; bracket ratings are planned.
- [NEW] Detailed gear tooltips through bbTips, including each item’s enchantments, gems, and bonuses.
- [NEW] Members can use their claimed WoW character’s portrait as their forum avatar automatically. Manually chosen avatars are preserved.
- [NEW] Scheduled updates for character specializations, equipment, and portraits.
- [NEW] Automatic guild roster and activity feed updates, with controls in the Administration Control Panel to enable them and set the update interval.
- [CHG] Refreshed character page layout, inspired by the classic WoW Armory.
- [CHG] Character stats, professions, Mythic+, and PvP information now load separately, so they no longer hold up the initial page display.
Fixes
- [FIX] Characters who leave the guild are now marked inactive during roster updates, keeping guild counts accurate and avoiding unnecessary updates.
- [FIX] Equipment slots now display the correct item icons.
Additional fixes in 2.1.1
- [FIX] Fixed a guild sync crash caused by certain Battle.net activity entries.
- [FIX] Equipment updates now stop correctly when Battle.net cannot find a character.
- [FIX] Achievement and roster progress panels no longer keep checking indefinitely when an update cannot finish.
- [FIX] Fixed duplicate progress entries when automatic syncing and the Sync Now button ran at the same time.
