v1.1.0
v1.1.0 — AVB 52 input checks
AVB 52 card generator v1.1.0 (Basic, Full, chooser). Dice → Seed and SeedPhrasePoker are unchanged at v1.0.0.
Seed derivation is unchanged. Same deal, same words as v1.0.0: tested on thousands of random 12- and 24-word deals in both versions.
Changes
- Unknown characters are refused, not dropped. v1.0.0 silently skipped letters it did not know, so a local face letter (V, B, H, D, R, E) vanished and "Kn" was read as K, giving a different seed without warning. v1.1.0 stops and names the character: local face-card letters are not accepted; use a deck with A K Q J corners, or translate Jack=J, Queen=Q, King=K. No automatic mapping.
- Behaviour change: suit letters are rejected in ranks-only mode. C, D, H and S are refused there (H and D are also local face letters). Leave suits out; the symbols ♠ ♣ ♥ ♦ are still ignored. Full-card mode still takes C D H S as suits. A lone 0 is also refused (type 10 or T).
- Optional "Re-enter ranks" check. Type the deal a second time; the tool shows the first mismatch position and keeps the words hidden until both entries match.
Verify
sha256sum -c SHA256SUMS.txt after unpacking, then work offline.
v1.0.0
First public drop of the three offline BIP-39 tools.
Open create-seed.html. Pick the source you have in the room:
- one six-sided die → Dice → Seed
- one 52-card deck → AVB 52
- two 52-card decks → SeedPhrasePoker
Then Basic (words only) or Full (words, first three bc1 addresses, account zpub, SeedQR).
How to use
-
Download offline-seed.zip from this Release, not a raw file from main.
-
Check the zip:
sha256sum offline-seed.zip
51a12fc54ccf94de9dc2060dfdc0431cce2805b14e6bc6a32ddec4dfd24a9cef -
Unpack and check SHA256SUMS.txt.
-
Copy one HTML file to a machine that stays offline. Open it as file://.
-
Wait for the green self-test. Write the words by hand. Check them on a second device before any coins move.
Do not generate a seed from github.com, from a raw URL, or from GitHub Pages.
Problems: GitHub private vulnerability reporting, or security@avbforge.com. Do not paste a live seed.
