What's new

• Live highlighting in Proxy → Intercept. Intercepted requests are now colored in real time while they are held in the Intercept tab, based on the x-mac-container-color header injected by PhoenixBox — previously the color only appeared in the Proxy HTTP history after the request was forwarded.

Details

• The container highlight color is applied at the handleRequestReceived stage.
• The x-mac-container-color header stays intact during interception (so you can still see/edit it) and is stripped before the request is sent to the target, as before.
• Added test coverage for the receive-stage highlighting.

Compatibility

Built against Montoya API 2026.2; verified with Burp Suite 2026.4.x.

Install

Download PhoenixBoxHighlighter.jar below and add it in Burp via Extensions → Installed → Add (Extension type: Java).
