ContextScribe 1.1 improves permission reliability, transcription model migration, and recording diagnostics.

Highlights:

  • Adds clearer paste-permission status and recovery while keeping the production app identity stable across upgrades.
  • Adds Keep last recording file, which retains exactly the newest temporary recording and exposes it through Show Last Recording in Finder.
  • Updates the default OpenAI transcription model and safely migrates legacy or misrouted model identifiers.
  • Prevents the Finder action from appearing when retention is disabled or becoming enabled when no recording is available.
  • Improves release payload verification for credentials, recordings, diagnostics, local paths, and required third-party notices.

Requirements: macOS 26 or later.

This release was tested with 300 automated tests. The attached DMG contains a universal Apple Silicon/Intel app, signed with Developer ID, notarized by Apple, stapled, and accepted by Gatekeeper.
