Hydra 1.0.0 is the first public release of a local Codex bridge to the authenticated Claude Code CLI.

Highlights

  • Durable background jobs with bounded queues, cancellation, recovery, and resumable sessions.
  • Explicit Sonnet, Opus, and Fable routing with model-fallback protection.
  • Read-scoped analysis and isolated Git worktrees for test and execute jobs.
  • Staged delegation, bounded context capsules, and fan-out controls that account for repeated context cost.
  • Fixed-point allowance snapshots, reservations, forecasting, and conservative end-of-cycle pacing.
  • Fail-closed subscription checks when provider routing or usage-credit requirements are detected.

Release boundary

Hydra 1.0 is maintained and release-tested on macOS arm64 with Node.js 20.9 or newer and Claude Code 2.1.228 or newer. Linux code paths are public but remain community-owned and unverified.
