The free helper that lets Nightjar keep a Mac awake with the lid closed. Closing the lid is an explicit sleep instruction that no App Store app can override, so this one feature ships separately.

Open it, click Install, and enter your password once. Then switch on Keep awake with the lid closed in Settings > General.

It is built to fail safe: the permission is time-limited, renewed every few seconds, and withdrawn if Nightjar stops, the battery drops, the charger comes out, or eight hours pass.

Requires macOS 14 or later. Universal (Apple silicon and Intel).
