What's new in 0.5.18

• Pausing tracking: there's now one way to stop tracking and one way to start it again. The separate "Record app usage and temperatures" switch is gone. If it was off, tracking opens as paused, and Resume tracking in the tray menu (or Resume in Settings) starts it again. Before, Resume did nothing while that switch was off.
• Settings → Tracking: the Pause row shows the pause buttons while tracking and a Resume button while paused, with the time it ends.
• Timed pauses: when a pause runs out, the tray menu and Settings show tracking again straight away.
• Menus and notifications match the app: the tray menu, the widgets' right-click menu and the notification cards use Rigsight's black and white and follow your theme (dark, light, or your Windows setting). Notices shown inside games stay dark.

What's new in 0.5.17

• Graphics cards: the main GPU is now the one Windows gives your games (Settings → Display → Graphics), whatever its maker. Rigsight falls back on the card's name only when Windows can't say. Newer integrated graphics (Intel Arc inside Core Ultra, AMD Radeon 680M) are now recognised as integrated. With more than one GPU, the arrows to switch between them sit at the right end of the Temperatures page's GPU card.
• Yesterday is the calendar day again: Home's Yesterday card and the daily recap cover yesterday from midnight to midnight. A late night still shows in the next day's report as "the night before ran late".
• Daily recap: it now waits until a day is over (5 AM the next morning), so waking your PC just after midnight doesn't recap the evening you're still in.
• Custom time ranges:
  • A range of up to two days is compared with the same hours the day before, not with the hours just before it (an evening against the evening before, not the afternoon).
  • The range editor keeps the end after the start, shows full dates, and names the year on both ends when either isn't this year.
• Rigsight's log is kept to size by one program only, and a line is never lost while the log is being moved aside.

What's new in 0.5.16

• Custom time ranges: Reports, Apps and Crashes can now show any stretch of time, from a date and hour to another (next to Day, Week, Month…). The arrows step by the same length.
• Your whole day: a day that ran past midnight (work in the morning, games until 3 AM) now stays one day. Home's Yesterday card and the daily recap cover all of it, and their full report opens on that whole stretch. A day that ended before midnight still shows as that day.
• Graphics cards: on a PC with a processor's graphics and a graphics card, the card is now the main GPU everywhere (it could show only the processor's graphics before). With more than one GPU, arrows on the Temperatures page's GPU card switch between them.
• Updates: clicking a "new version" notification opens Rigsight asking to restart (or downloading the update), instead of showing nothing about it for a few seconds. An update that's already downloaded shows the moment Rigsight opens.
• Daily recap: it now comes when you turn your PC on (or wake it from sleep), for the last day you used it: no more recap at midnight in the middle of a late session, and after a few days off you get the recap of the last day you were on.
• Crashes: the timeline over a range that ends partway through a day now includes that day.
• Apps: switching to a period where the selected app wasn't used now shows that period's top app, instead of the previous period's numbers next to an empty chart.
• The background part of Rigsight keeps only a handful of app icons in memory, instead of one for every app it has ever seen.
• Rigsight's log no longer loses lines when the app and the background part write at the same moment, and two kinds of errors that used to go unrecorded are now logged.

• Very large messages to the background part are refused instead of using up memory.

• Setup and RivaTuner: if you already have RivaTuner Statistics Server (on its own or with MSI Afterburner, in any folder), setup recognises it and no longer offers to install it again.
• Setup and RivaTuner: installing RivaTuner can no longer leave setup stuck. Setup waits as long as the install is making progress, however slow your PC or connection; if RivaTuner's installer asks something, its window comes to the front; only an install that has stopped doing anything is ended, and setup tells you you can install RivaTuner later from the Overlay page.
• The Overlay page's Install RivaTuner button works the same way.

What's new in 0.5.13

A round of fixes found by a new, much larger set of checks that now runs before every release.

• Settings: a settings file edited by hand with a blank section, or with the same app named twice in different capitals, no longer resets all your settings.
• Settings: a change made while the background part of Rigsight was restarting no longer flips back for a moment.
• Apps: renamed apps and changed categories now match however the app's name is capitalised.
• Home: after restarting your PC mid-day, today's hottest temperature and the app responsible are shown correctly.
• Reports: the "than last month by this point" comparison is right on the 29th–31st, and on New Year's Eve in a leap year.
• Crashes: "how long you'd been playing" now shows even when the crash ended your longest session.
• Memory: CPU use no longer shows an impossible number for a moment after opening an app's processes.
• Dashboards: resizing a tile from an older dashboard no longer shows an error, and renaming a sensor renames its tile straight away.
• Alerts: turning alerts back on no longer warns about a brief spike straight away.
• Recent changes (Crashes page): .NET updates are no longer called Windows updates.
• Charts keep working if Rigsight stays open while the PC sleeps for weeks, and a few rare crashes are fixed.

• Memory: the bars next to each app now compare apps with each other. The biggest app fills its bar, so you can see at a glance which ones are heavy. Hover a bar to see its share of all your memory.

What's new in 0.5.10

• See what's inside an app: on the Memory page, click an app like Chrome to list each of its processes: its tabs, extensions, graphics and network, or the Windows services inside "Windows service".
• Clearer memory bars: each bar now shows how much of your memory the app uses, instead of comparing it with the biggest app.
• Memory Compression is no longer listed as an app. It's your apps' memory that Windows has squeezed down, and the System memory card now shows how much.
• Missing icons are back for apps that update themselves into a new folder, like Discord.
