OpenHole v0.2.0 — WebSocket passthrough
Expose localhost to the internet with one command. This release adds full WebSocket upgrade support through tunnels, so live reload, HMR, and real-time apps work out of the box.
Highlights
- WebSocket passthrough — HTTP upgrade requests are detected and relayed bidirectionally between the public URL and your local server
- Real-time dev workflows — Next.js HMR, Vite hot reload, Socket.IO, and other WebSocket-based tools now work through the tunnel
- Binary frame protocol — efficient
OHWSframing on the control WebSocket for low-overhead frame relay - CI hardening — Go 1.26.4,
govulncheckin CI, updated Docker base image
