AGNA 2.1.3 — Stable Open-Source Release

First public open-source release of AGNA Desktop, AGNA Core, and AGNA CLI under the Apache License 2.0.

What is in this release

  • AGNA Desktop — the graphical application: social network analysis, sociometry, and sequential analysis in a spreadsheet-and-graph interface.
  • AGNA Core — the reusable Java engine (networks, analyses, layouts, import/export).
  • AGNA CLI — 30+ commands for headless, reproducible analysis and diagram generation.

New in 2.1.3

  • New layout engine: grid, concentric (hub-centered), and force-directed spring embedding (Fruchterman–Reingold with Barnes–Hut acceleration) — Image menu and toolbar, and CLI layout / draw --layout.
  • GraphML/GML/GraphSON import/export, Gephi-safe Pajek, Excel (.xls/.xlsx incl. Apple Numbers).
  • Full Analysis battery, scalable N-Cliques, prestige (Lin 1976), Brandes betweenness, distance and structural-diff suites.
  • Merge Network (by name; sum/max/keep), session log, background analyses with cancellation.
  • FlatLaf interface (light default, live theme picker), modern resizable Help, UTF-8 throughout, 230 tests.

Bugs fixed in 2.1.3

Save As reliability; .agn reader crashes and NPEs; settings restore (title offset, ~/.agna); Gephi-clean Pajek export; grid visibility under native look and feels; spring layout border-hugging and performance (Barnes–Hut); path helpers with dots in directory names; headless Excel export; clique truncation and OOM safety; legacy commented-out code removed.
