How to reproduce

Unable to do Subtraction, Intersection functions at all. All that happens is it merges the two models shapes and throws a cantilever fault. Intersection is completely non-functional. Difference can only be done using negative part feature. It acts as if tool is disabled.
Also, wiki instruction for Mesh Boolean is out of date in wiki

Expected results

Expect Union, Difference, Intersection to work as described in wiki.
With this tool not functioning forces user to use an external CAD tool such as Fusion to do the function then reimport result back into Studio.

Hello, I didn't reproduce your question using a simple block model.

1：Perhaps you can try checking "delete input" to see the result more intuitively

I figured out how to use the tool this past weekend and what I would say now is that you need to update the wiki to address the Mesh Boolean as a tool. Put a tooltip at the Mesh Boolean tool emphasizing the need to go to the wiki, watch the examples and on the wiki put it in bold text that you need to click on the Difference, Union, Intersection button and check the Delete Input before you slice the plate. Can you slow down the animation in the wiki? The clicks go by so fast one can miss the steps or their importance and the sequence.
I went to the wiki many times and spent hours slicing objects and missed it.
The wiki needs to be able to walk a new owner through every step of every process so they can use all the tools.
Quite often people write the help documentation based on the writers level of skill with the subject.
Help documentation needs to be written for the person who took delivery of their printer yesterday because they want to print today.
One the wiki, above the animation, put a bullet point with text description so you have a table for Difference, a table for Union, and a third table for Intersection

• Click Object 1
• Click object 2
• Merge (with link to Merge topic)
• Select Mesh Boolean tool
• Click Union on top of tool
• Click on Part 1 (on the built plate, NOT the Select text next to Part 1
• Click on Part 2 (on the build plate, NOT the Select text next to Part 2
• Click on the Union button button at the bottom of the tool

The text lists the steps and the animation demonstrates the process. The animation does not take the place of the text which walks the user through every step of the process.

A lot of the Bambu Studio wiki content could use that same bullet point table format in addition to the animation and here is why.
Say I have a problem that can be addressed by one of the many tools in the top toolbar. I know which tool to use because someone in the community forum told me it was the tool to use.

Okay, but I have never used the tool. Trying to watch the animation at the same time as I try to manipulate the tool is quite challenging because you are trying to watch the animation while at the same time manipulating the mouse click's.

One reason people have two monitors is to have two or more applications open at the same time to do a task. Lots of people do not have two monitors though.
Relying on an animation is very challenging if I have Bambu Studio occupying half my monitor and trying to watch and do the animation steps is hard. Five lines of text by comparison takes up very little screen space and I don't need to wait for it to get to the correct step. The animations are nice but if you change the GUI, you have to change the animation. You may not need to change the text because the steps are still the same
