I have a multi color SVG that I would like to add as a surface modifier. If I load a multi-color SVG at the moment all colors are merged into a single object.
Currently I need to use Inkscape to split the SVG color layers into separate files. Unfortunately loading all the files does not align them correctly since each file effectively has a different origin, so I use OpenSCAD to convert each split SVG to an aligned STL file so that when I import into Bambu they are all aligned correctly and grouped.
At this point I can then assign different filaments/colors to each section.
If the original SVG does not have cutout layers then I need to convert the original into a cutout version so that there is no overlap of the colors.
Describe the solution you'd like
It would be great if the current SVG modifier imported each layer as a separate 'object' so the color/filament could easily be changed.
As a starting point it would be great even if cutout SVG files were supported. This should be fairly simple since the current implementation seems to already consider all the SVG layers and combines them into a single 'object' All that is really needed is to process each SVG layer as its own SVG import. This would obviously not be as simple for non-cutout layers, but generating cutout SVG is fairly easy.
