CPU crystal oscillator frequency #39
|
Minor detail, but in CPU startup.c, you initialized PLL0 with the internal crystal oscillator, you set the PLLM to 24 (becomes 25), PREDIV to 0 (/1), POSTDIV to 1 (/2), so assuming 25mhz clock src (did you verify this?) you assumed Why does this matter? That brings me to the next question: Do we know the maximum safe/appropriate setting, considering theoretically supported range is 300-600mhz |

The numbers make more sense if the oscillator is 24 Mhz. It should be this one next to the CPU:
There is a spreadsheet for calculating the clock config, linked in this app note. This blog post has some notes on overclocking a similar processor, but I think our AM1802 only supports up to 300 Mhz and we're already running at full speed. |
