Sonora Studio 1.0
Sonora Studio 1.0
First public release of Sonora Studio: a free, local-first music creation studio built around ComfyUI and ACE-Step 1.5. No subscription, no credits.
What it does
- Create music: write a style prompt and lyrics, or let Auto pick tempo, time signature and key. Options include reference audio, styles to avoid, a melody-freedom slider and saved prompts.
- Remix and edit: upload your own song, then remix or repaint a section.
- Library: browse, favorite and organize your tracks in workspaces.
- Audio editor and stems: separate vocals from instrumental and rebalance the mix.
- Audio Lab: analysis and mastering tools.
- Prompt studio: build prompts and lyrics from categories, with optional AI assistance.
- Optional LoRA trainer on RunPod.
Where it runs
- On your own computer with ComfyUI. Sonora downloads the missing ACE-Step model files for you (about 19.9 GB, after you confirm).
- On RunPod Serverless or an existing Vast.ai instance, if your PC has no suitable GPU. These are third-party services that bill you directly.
Before you start
- Plan on an NVIDIA GPU with 12 GB VRAM at the very least (16 GB or more is better) and about 22 GB of free disk space. Without a suitable GPU, use RunPod.
- Sonora does not install ComfyUI, Node.js, FFmpeg or NVIDIA drivers. The README has a step-by-step Quick start.
- Windows is the platform it has been used on so far.
