bartCDSkip

bartCDskip is a buffer-based audio manipulation tool inspired by the behaviour of a skipping CD.

Capture incoming audio and turn it into a continuously looping workspace.

START / END define the global working area.
RANGE defines the size of a local playback window.
OFFSET moves the entire RANGE window through the captured material.
PITCH changes playback speed and pitch together.

From simple CD-skip loops to micro-loops, rhythmic fragments, micro-sampling and extreme sound manipulation.

INSTALLATION

  1. Download and extract bartCDskip_v1.0.0_Windows_x64.zip.

  2. Copy the entire bartCDskip.vst3 folder to:

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3

  3. Open your DAW and rescan your VST3 plugins if necessary.

That's it. bartCDskip should now appear in your plugin list.

Do not copy the files from inside bartCDskip.vst3 separately — copy the entire bartCDskip.vst3 folder.

DEVELOPMENT

bartCDskip is an original audio effect concept by bartFXAudio.

The concept, functionality, workflow, parameter design, testing, sound evaluation and creative direction were developed by bartFXAudio.

The software implementation was created with the assistance of AI. AI was used to write and develop the C++ / JUCE code according to the design, requirements, testing and feedback provided by bartFXAudio.

Donations are welcome, but never required.

Music and other creative work made using bartCDskip may be used and sold commercially without fees or royalties owed to bartFXAudio.

Third-party distribution of the plugin requires prior permission from bartFXAudio.

Inspiration is welcome. Build your own tools and take the idea somewhere new.
