GDK_SCALE from monitors config not being respected

What's wrong?

I'm having some issues since upgrading to from Omarchy 2.4.0 to Omarchy 3.6.0 with the resolution of apps on 1080p monitor. I noticed that I had configured GDK_SCALE=1 in ~/.config/hypr/monitors.conf but this setting is not applied at all.

Investigating further it only works if I add directly to ~/.config/hypr/envs.conf.

Somehow settings are overridden by this nest includes and I could not figure out where exactly.

After adding in the file I mention everything works correctly and scale is applied.

Anecdotal data point: in my Omarchy 3.8.0, going Setup > Monitors > editing scale value in ~/.config/hypr/monitors.conf > monitor=,preferred,auto,<scale value> is applied immediately after saving.
