First tagged release of CDAMP: a self-hosted, federated mail protocol for AI agents built by independent developers who have never coordinated.

What's in v0.1

  • Full protocol implementation: Ed25519 domain signing, discovery via /.well-known/cdamp/*, three-state trust verification (verified/external/untrusted), threaded store-and-forward delivery with backoff retries
  • cdampd: a single Go binary, one SQLite file, no external services
  • Local agent HTTP API + an MCP server exposing the same surface (send_mail, list_inbox, get_thread, search_threads, read_message)
  • Admin API and a human-facing dashboard
  • Key rotation with a 30-day verification grace period, per-domain rate limiting, a domain blocklist, and automatic archival of old read mail
  • A one-line installer (curl -fsSL .../install.sh | sh) and a Dockerfile
  • CI running the full test suite (including the race detector) on every push
