v0.1.11

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 19 Sep 11:50

What changed

Added

  • Added a new Discussion section to the paper, between the Three Guiding Moves and the Conclusion, covering how the Moves function together as a pattern language, the "human layer of change" framing, how Circle3 relates to governance and other formal change practices, the role of facilitation, and directions for future work.

Changed

  • Rewrote the paper's Conclusion into a shorter closing statement, moving its fuller "how the Moves work together / boundaries / future directions" content into the new Discussion section.
  • Expanded the introduction to introduce the "human layer of change" framing, summarize how the Three Guiding Moves address different but interdependent aspects of coherence, and clarify that the Moves' progression isn't prescriptive.
  • Added Aikido training as an additional acknowledged practice influence in the paper's back matter.

Includes

  • The Circle3™ paper PDF (attached as a release asset)
  • Three Guiding Moves™ (patterns): Establish the Circle, Integrate the Conversation, Reconcile the Intention
  • Three Leadership Lenses™ (reflective exercises): Sense-Making, Energy Awareness, Paradigm Awareness

Includes

  • The Circle3™ paper PDF (attached as a release asset)
  • Three Guiding Moves™ (patterns): Establish the Circle, Integrate the Conversation, Reconcile the Intention
  • Three Leadership Lenses™ (reflective exercises): Sense-Making, Energy Awareness, Paradigm Awareness

v0.1.9

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 18 Sep 00:56

What changed

Changed

  • Refined the language across the three Moves (Establish the Circle, Integrate the Conversation, Reconcile the Intention), restructuring each Problem section around a "This breakdown appears when" framing and each Solution around a "Do this by" framing for clarity and consistency.
  • Reworded Summary, Context, and Resulting Context sections in each Move to focus on shared understanding rather than the prior "coherence"/progression-based phrasing.
  • Updated the paper's abstract and introduction to match the revised Move language (e.g. "shared understanding" instead of "shared perception" in the Move step summaries).

Includes

  • The Circle3™ paper PDF (attached as a release asset)
  • Three Guiding Moves™ (patterns): Establish the Circle, Integrate the Conversation, Reconcile the Intention
  • Three Leadership Lenses™ (reflective exercises): Sense-Making, Energy Awareness, Paradigm Awareness

v0.1.7

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 19 Aug 02:55

What changed

Changed

  • Revised the abstract and introduction for clarity, moving past the workshop-submission framing toward a more general presentation of Circle3™.
  • Replaced the paper's short "Origin and Ongoing Evolution" section with a fuller Conclusion covering how the Three Guiding Moves work together, their applicability and boundaries, and future directions.
  • Reformatted the back matter's references as a numbered list and added matching PDF-only in-text citation markers (e.g. [1]).
  • Refined the affect labeling / dynamic silence guidance in Integrate the Conversation for clarity.

Removed

  • Removed the workshop feedback-request section from the introduction and the paper's Origin Story CTA/image, no longer relevant past the workshop-submission stage.

Includes

  • The Circle3™ paper PDF (attached as a release asset)
  • Three Guiding Moves™ (patterns): Establish the Circle, Integrate the Conversation, Reconcile the Intention
  • Three Leadership Lenses™ (reflective exercises): Sense-Making, Energy Awareness, Paradigm Awareness

v0.1.6

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 16 Aug 20:53

What changed

Changed

  • Replaced the Session Intention Reflection lens with Paradigm Awareness Reflection, a new lens for noticing the paradigm (Survival, Neutrality, Generative) from which a person, group, or organization is responding under uncertainty, disruption, conflict, or change, and the thresholds (Courage, Curiosity) between them.
  • Added Paradigm Awareness Reflection as a practical resource within Integrate the Conversation, where surfacing protective positions without prematurely resolving them is most relevant.
  • Refined Paradigm Awareness Reflection to stay focused on noticing rather than resolving: narrowed the exercise to reflect on the situation, the paradigm operating within it, and what that paradigm may be revealing (protection under Survival, or curiosity under Neutrality), and aligned its Reflection/Sharing structure with Sense Making Reflection and Energy Awareness Reflection.
  • Refreshed imagery across several lenses, moves, and pages (including new artwork for Paradigm Awareness Reflection) for improved visual quality.

Removed

  • Removed the Session Intention Reflection practical-resource link from Reconcile the Intention; its session-preparation purpose has no direct equivalent in the new lens set.

Includes

  • The Circle3™ paper PDF (attached as a release asset)
  • Three Guiding Moves™ (patterns): Establish the Circle, Integrate the Conversation, Reconcile the Intention
  • Three Leadership Lenses™ (reflective exercises): Sense-Making, Energy Awareness, Paradigm Awareness

v0.1.5

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 09 Aug 01:28

What changed

Changed

  • PDF build now sources its imagery from the smaller web-resolution images (images/) instead of images/full/, cutting the generated PDF from ~28MB to ~2.4MB with no meaningful quality loss for on-screen reading.

Includes

  • The Circle3™ paper PDF (attached as a release asset)
  • Three Guiding Moves™ (patterns): Establish the Circle, Integrate the Conversation, Reconcile the Intention
  • Three Leadership Lenses™ (reflective exercises): Sense-Making, Energy Awareness, Session Intention

v0.1.4

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 09 Aug 01:16

What changed

Removed

  • Stopped committing the generated paper PDF (assets/pdfs/circle3-paper.pdf is now git-ignored, built locally/by CI, and distributed via GitHub Releases). Historical PDF blobs were also purged from git history to shrink the repository.

Includes

  • The Circle3™ paper PDF (attached as a release asset)
  • Three Guiding Moves™ (patterns): Establish the Circle, Integrate the Conversation, Reconcile the Intention
  • Three Leadership Lenses™ (reflective exercises): Sense-Making, Energy Awareness, Session Intention

v0.1.3

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 09 Aug 00:46

What changed

Added

Changed

  • The paper download link now points to https://github.com/basil-one/circle/releases/latest/download/circle3-paper.pdf instead of the committed assets/pdfs/circle3-paper.pdf, so it always resolves to the latest release.
  • Refined language across Establish the Circle, Integrate the Conversation, and Reconcile the Intention for clarity and coherence, expanding the Problem, Forces, Solution, and Resulting Context sections with fuller explanations.
  • Condensed Related Patterns cross-links into inline descriptions for Establish the Circle, Integrate the Conversation, and Reconcile the Intention.

Removed

  • Removed the Two Sides Reflection and Accessing Energy Patterns practical-resource links from Integrate the Conversation.

Fixed

  • Regenerated assets/pdfs/circle3-paper.pdf so the release PDF matches the current content.
