What's new

• Automatic update check: LGPowerControl now checks GitHub for a new version at most once every UPDATE_CHECK_DAYS days (default 7) and shows a desktop notification when one is available, repeating as a reminder until you update. Nothing is ever installed automatically — updating is still a manual sudo /opt/lgpowercontrol/update.sh. Set UPDATE_CHECK_DAYS="0" to disable the check.
• Update channel: new UPDATE_CHANNEL setting — "main" (default) follows stable releases, "dev" follows the latest dev-branch commit and pairs with update.sh --dev.
• Cleaner journal logging: context and action are now merged into single log lines.

Updating

sudo /opt/lgpowercontrol/update.sh

Settings and TV pairing survive the update.
