• adding the synop_parser() function for reading raw SYNOP messages
• major changes in the meteo_ogimet() set of functions:
  • cleaning up and refactoring the code
  • data source used by OGIMET engine can be specified by setting parser = "html" or parser = "synop" argument; more details in the documentation, e.g:
    • SYNOP parser is now used by default for hourly data, and HTML for daily summaries;
  • XML parsing engine is now replaced by in-house solutions to reduce dependencies and improve performance in future
• major changes in the sounding_wyoming() function due to shutting down the legacy interface
  • thermodynamic and dynamic indices are no longer calculated on the server side, but can be manually obtained using the thundeR package
• minor fixes:
  • adding label description to hydro_imgw() datasets to easen understanding of the data and avoid confusion with units (e.g. "Q [m3/s]" instead of "Q")
    • therefore argument col_names is now removed
  • station coordinates are automatically added by default
  • updated columns in IMGW telemetry datasets due to changes in IMGW repository
  • updated documentation and vignettes to reflect changes in the code and new features
  • unified R code syntax for assignments
