Release list
Snipette 1.1.0
Snipette 1.1 brings a cleaner window and a more accurate preview.
New
- Toolbar cleanup: New shot on the left, Copy and Save as icon buttons on the right, with tooltips.
- Settings and About now have their own dialogs (⋯ menu). Theme and update options are under Settings.
- Updated app icon.
- Stronger contrast for buttons, outlines and text, in both light and dark mode.
Fixed
- The preview could show a one-pixel break between two shots at some window sizes. It now shows exactly the saved image, scaled down, and redraws faster when you resize the window.
- The empty shot list no longer scrolls.
Requirements: Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. Installed copies of 1.0 update themselves.
Note: the installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows may show "Windows protected your PC". Click More info → Run anyway. Details: https://snipette.pages.dev/smartscreen
Snipette 1.0.0
First public release of Snipette.
Snipette captures overlapping parts of your screen and stitches them into one image: scroll, pan or zoom between shots, and it lines them up for you. Works with any app (browser, PDF viewer, Excel, maps) with no extension or plug-in.
Highlights
- Freeze all monitors and drag to take a shot; each new shot is matched automatically, also at a different zoom level.
- Live preview shows exactly what will be saved; keep everything or crop to the area without gaps.
- Save as PNG or JPEG, or copy to the clipboard.
- Light and dark theme, following Windows or chosen in the ⋯ menu.
- Updates itself: new versions download in the background and install on restart or when you close the app.
Requirements: Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. Installs for your user account, no admin rights needed.
Note: the installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows may show "Windows protected your PC". Click More info → Run anyway. Details: https://snipette.pages.dev/smartscreen
