What's New

Codex JSONL Output Window

New structured output view for Codex CLI commands running in Burrow output windows. When a special command uses --json mode (like kub-merge), the output is parsed and rendered as a polished UI instead of raw terminal text.

New Features:

  • Structured Codex rendering — JSONL lifecycle events are parsed by a reducer and rendered as interactive components
  • Markdown agent messages — Final agent summaries render as rich markdown with tables, headers, and links
  • Command execution cards — Collapsible cards showing the command, exit code badge, and expandable output
  • Tab bar — Switch between "Output" (structured view) and "Events" (raw JSONL debug view)
  • Token usage footer — Shows input/output token counts with cache stats
  • Status precedence — Smart status badges: Running → Completed → Failed → Exit code

Improvements:

  • Serial polling — Extracted useOutputPolling hook fixes overlapping setInterval race condition
  • Auto-scroll hook — Shared useAutoScroll hook deduplicates scroll-to-bottom logic
  • OutputView refactor — Existing plain output view refactored to use shared hooks (no behavior change)

Backend:

  • Added output_format field to SearchResult for content format signaling
  • kub-merge now runs with --json flag and codex_json format

Maintenance

  • Trim AGENTS.md to actionable instructions only
