Installing the base image for pi
In this section we explain how to install your base image for pi.
First you need to install your installer to create an image.
Download the installer by clicking Download for Windows.
The file will be downloaded in your Download folder.
The browser will ask you to open the file. If not, just go to your Download folder and double click on the file.

It is normally not advisable to download .exe files and start them on your system. You can only do this on trusted sites. raspberrypi.com is the known site for pi software.
By double clicking the exe file, the installer will open and follow the wizard. At the end press Finish to run the installer.
Next the installer will start.
You can select the default Raspberry Pi OS (32 bits).
Next you will need to select the micro SD card you want to use to boot your Pi. You will need some card reader for your PC to plug-in the micro SD card.
Now you can press write and after a warning about the override of you SD card, the write process will start
When the write finished you can remove the micro SD card from you card reader.
