Personal API 2.0.2 Stable

This is the stable engineering cleanup release. It focuses on making the existing Personal API scaffold reliable, verifiable, and publishable.

What changed

  • Reworked SKILL.md into a lightweight routing layer.

    • Added top-level version: "2.0.2".
    • Kept trigger scenarios, workflows, resource routing, validation commands, and version history.
    • Moved long-form methodology and product explanation out of the always-loaded skill entry.

  • Added a dedicated references/ resource layer.

    • references/architecture.md
    • references/vault-layout.md
    • references/operation-boundaries.md
    • references/maintenance.md

  • Fixed scaffold/documentation drift.

    • Default bash scripts/setup.sh creates the full Knowledge Palace v2 structure, including 30.knowledge/.
    • bash scripts/setup.sh --minimal creates only the identity layer and does not create 30.knowledge/.
    • Added generated thin adapters: CLAUDE.md and AGENTS.md.
    • Added promised stubs: 00.context/projects/project-overview.md, 10.identity/thinking-models.md, and 10.identity/strengths-gaps.md.

  • Added release validation and packaging.

    • scripts/validate_skill.py validates version consistency, setup output, and package contents.
    • scripts/package_skillhub.sh creates a reproducible SkillHub zip.
    • Added agents/openai.yaml package metadata.

  • Updated documentation.

    • README.md
    • README.zh-CN.md
    • CHANGELOG.md

Installation behavior

Full mode:

export OBSIDIAN_VAULT_PATH="/path/to/your/vault"
bash scripts/setup.sh

Creates the identity layer, thin adapters, and full 30.knowledge/ Knowledge Palace v2 system.

Minimal mode:

bash scripts/setup.sh --minimal

Creates the identity layer, thin adapters, and basic navigation only. It intentionally skips 30.knowledge/.

Verified

This release was validated with:

It was also manually verified by extracting the release zip into a temporary folder and running setup against temporary vaults:

  • Full mode generated 30.knowledge/00.system/methodology.md.
  • Full mode generated the expected 30.knowledge/ directory tree.
  • Minimal mode did not generate 30.knowledge/.
